How to Make an Avocado Face Mask

If you’re looking for something to do with the leftover avocado from your guacamole, mix up an invigorating avocado face mask. It may not sound appealing to smear this yummy fruit all over your face, but avocados are high in essential fatty acids and add much-needed moisture to dry skin. An avocado face mask can be used for normal, oily or dry skin. Just customize it to fit your skincare needs.

Put the flesh of 1/2 avocado into a bowl. Mash it up well with a fork until the large chunks are gone.

Add 1 tablespoon of honey. If your skin is dry, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a pinch of oats for exfoliation. For oily skin, add one egg white and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to the avocado and honey. Only avocado and honey are necessary if you have normal skin. Mix all the ingredients well with a spoon.

Massage the avocado mask onto your face. Avoid getting it into your eyes. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes.

Rinse your face well with warm water and a soft washcloth. Pat dry with a towel.
